CANNELTON, INDIANA- Cannelton boys basketball will be gearing up for the postseason and their game will be on Tuesday as they prepare for a sectional championship.

TELL CITY — The boys basketball team for Tell City faced Boonville in their last regular season match of the year. The Marksmen at the end of the first half found themselves in striking distance (26-18). However, the Pioneers extended their lead in the second half to win 51-38.

CANNELTON — Cannelton’s boys basketball team on Friday and Saturday matched up against Foundation and Christian Academy with the Bulldogs not able to come away with wins. The Bulldogs lost 82-37 to Foundation Academy and 96-34 to Christian Academy.

TELL CITY — Heritage Hills might’ve ended Friday’s game in a running clock with a 71-32 win against Pocket Athletic Conference rival Tell City, but the first half played out nowhere near like a running clock situation.

EVANSVILLE — Five Tell City wrestlers on Saturday made IHSAA Semi-State and the Marksmen were able to advance three of them to the state round. The team also placed sixth by scoring 52 points.

JASPER — Tell City’s girls swimming team raced Saturday at Jasper in sectional action and the Marksmen finished with two athletes advancing in Gabrielle Ettensohn and Emile Roll. Overall, the Marksmen placed third as a team with a score of 258.
