Opening week for Tell City baseball

TELL CITY — Tell City baseball will open their season on Monday, March 25, at home against Hancock County and the two teams have not played since two years ago.

The Hornets won the contest by a 5-1 score over Tell City with most of Hancock County’s damage coming in the first inning. Tell City traveled to Hancock County and the Marksmen to start this game went out to a 1-0 lead due to a bases loaded walk drawn by recent graduate Tyce DuPont. Hancock County after giving up the lone run scored three runs. One scored off an RBI single, a fielder’s choice and a wild pitch.
