Candidate Profile: Gale Garner files for Perry County Council At-Large

PERRY COUNTY — My wife Shirley and I are retired educators living on a small farm near Rome. Since retiring I wanted to continue serving the people of Perry County. I held the office of Tobin Township Trustee from March 2019 thru December of 2022 and was elected to serve another term starting in 2023. In August of 2023 a seat on the Perry County Council became vacant and I was elected by a caucus vote to fill that seat. I feel this opportunity provides me with a better chance to serve our county and is why I have decided to run for Perry County Council-at-Large in 2024. I would appreciate the support of all voters of Perry County.
