  • Kathryn Lynn Wagner

    Jeremy and Ashley Wagner of Tell City announce the birth of their daughter, Kathryn Lynn Wagner, Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
    The infant weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 inches long.
    Mrs. Wagner is the former Ashley Moore. Kathryn has one older brother, Jacob Wagner, 8.
    Grandparents are Sherry Moore of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Keith and Margie Wagner and John and Jenny Brunner, all of Tell City.
    Great-grandparents are Mildred Beck, Thelma Wagner and Elizabeth Simpson.

    Jackie and Nancy Wright of Saint Croix are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kasey Leigh Wright to Derek Robert Mehling, son of Tony and Jill Mehling of Ferdinand.

  • Hess – Kratzer

    Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hess of Derby announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kristel Hess, to Nicholas Kratzer, son of James and Billie Faye Schwartz of Tell City and the late Charles Albert Kratzer.

    The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Perry Central High School and a 2002 graduate of Ivy Tech State College. She is employed at Mulzer Crushed Stone Inc. in the accounts-receivable department.
    Mr. Kratzer is a 1998 graduate of Tell City High School. He is employed at ATTC Manufacturing as a general supervisor.

    Mr. and Mrs. Keith Lutgring of St. Marks announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Audrey Lutgring to Jonathan Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Thompson of Jeffersonville, currently residing in Florida.

    Kimberly Nugent of Cannelton and Larry Reed of Millstone announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Bob and Marilyn Lawson of Hawesville, Ky. She is a 1984 graduate of Cannelton High School. She works as a welder at Meggitt Inc. in Troy.
    Mr. Reed is the son of Larry Reed Sr. of Cannelton and the late Daisy Reed.
    He is a 1978 graduate of Cannelton High School.
    He is employed as a maintenance tech at AK Steel for Veolia Water.

  • Coin Show Sept. 22

    TELL CITY – The River Cities Coin Club will host its seventh annual fall coin show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at Perry County 4-H Center in Tell City.
    The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Admission is free and free parking will be provided. Door prizes will also be drawn. Up to 30 coin and paper money dealers from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee are expected to attend. For more information, call Kevin L.   • PC Democrats plan Jefferson-Jackson Dinner

    TELL CITY – The Perry County Democrats will host their annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner Sept. 29 at American Legion Post 213 in Tell City.
    Cocktails will be served beginning at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7. Cost is $20 per person.

  • Donald and Ruth Buckthal

    The Rev. Donald and Ruth Buckthal celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 7, 2012.
    The couple were married Sept. 7, 1947 at Immanuel E & R Church in East St. Louis, Ill.
    They are the parents of Diana Winston (Allan), Paul Buckthal (Nancy) and Dr. David Buckthal. Their grandchildren are Dr. Jill McCuin (Brandon), Joshua Winston (Cindy), Craig Buckthal (Ana), Eric Buckthal (Tiffany) and Dr. Julia Honold (Justin). They have eight great-grandchildren.
