  • Early morning meth bust results in several arrests

    TELL CITY – The Tell City Police Department busted an alleged methamphetamine lab Tuesday, April 28. The investigation culminated in numerous arrests. 

    Officer Jason Shadwick initiated the investigation, which led him to 733 15th St., the residence of Thomas Hubert, 26. Shadwick said he located items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine in a shed behind the residence.

    Hubert was not found at the scene, but was later discovered along with multiple other suspects at 1010 13th St. All were taken into custody without incident.

Henson, 31, of 1114 10th St., Tell City, April 14, on preliminary charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a synthetic drug or synthetic drug look alike, and a warrant for leaving the scene of an accident.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center. Bail was set at $3,606.

    • Tiffany L. James, 23, of 1894 Ninth St., Tell City, April 14, on a violation of drug court.

    • Nathaniel H. Sommer, 19, of 10246 Tanzy Road, Cannelton, April 9, on a warrant for failure to appear.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released later the same day after posting $605 bail.

    • Codi L. Metz, 25, of 27 Rolling Pines Drive, Tell City, April 11, on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

    She was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released later the same day after posting $205 bail.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center. Bail was set at $7,005.

    • Ronald V. Huff, 55, of 5205 Highway 60 E., Hawesville, Ky., April 7, on a preliminary charge of domestic battery.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released April 9 after posting $505 bail.

    • Joshua L. Harilson, 25, of 12250 Ohio St., Leopold, April 2, on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released April 4 after posting $3,005 bail.

    • Kayla R. Lasher, 22, of 606 16th St., Tell City, April 1, on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation.

    She was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released April 2 after posting $2,105 bail.

    • Matias J. Andres, 28, of 1033 Venerable Ave., Owensboro, Ky., March 28, on a preliminary charge of leaving the scene of a property damage crash.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released later the same day after posting $205 bail.

    • Andrew V. King, 69, of 903 Traphagen Drive, Tell City, March 23, on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center but was released March 24 after posting $205 bail.

    • Cody V. Spencer, 22, of 610 Harrison St., Troy, March 23, on a preliminary charge of battery.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center. Bail was set at $4,000.

  • Spencer Co. man jailed after alleged home invasion

    A Santa Claus man was arrested March 17 after he allegedly broke into an Anderson Township home. Jason Z. Pennington, 35, of 675 S. Sled Run, faces a preliminary charge of residential entry. A couple allegedly found him inside their home that afternoon. Pennington left the scene but was stopped by a Perry County reserve sheriff’s deputy near New Boston. It was unclear Thursday if formal charges had been filed against Pennington.

    She was taken to Perry County Detention Center. Bail was set at $3,005.

    • Jordan T. Howard, 22, of 1428 11th St., Tell City, March 19, on two warrants for probation violation.

    He was taken to Perry County Detention Center. Bail was set at $1,205.

    • Samantha J. Payne, 21, of 7100 Sharon Road, Apt. 406, Newburgh, March 20, on a warrant for failure to appear.
