  • Perry Central to crown homecoming court Friday

    LEOPOLD – The 2018 Perry Central Football Homecoming Ceremony will be held at halftime during the varsity football game against Crawford County on Friday evening, Aug. 31. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

    Their fellow senior classmates selected the queen and king candidates. The entire high school student body will choose the queen and king.

    The queen candidates are as follows:

  • Local scholars earn ISU Dean’s List

    PERRY COUNTY – Indiana State University has announced its dean’s list for the spring semester of 2018. To be eligible for the list, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

    Area students who made the dean’s list are Sydney Goffinet of Branchville; Bryce Lain and Kindal Mohr of Cannelton; Hannah Harpenau of Leopold; and Coby Aders, Austin Benjamin, Emily Davis, Christopher Schaefer, Brittney Thomas and Ashley Troutman, all of Tell City.

  • Foundation seeking applications for Lilly Community Scholarship

    PERRY COUNTY – The Perry County Community Foundation is now accepting applications online for the 2019 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program. The scholarship is open to Indiana high school students who will be graduating from an accredited Indiana high school by June 2019. Details related to conditions of the award, eligibility and selection criteria are available on the Community Foundation’s website at CommunityFoundationAlliance.org/perry. Deadline to apply is Aug. 31.

  • Hilgenhold honored as Presidential Scholar

    WASHINGTON, D.C. – 2018 Perry Central High School graduate Lane Hilgenhold was recently honored at the White House as a U.S. Presidential Scholar. Hilgenhold is one of 161 outstanding American high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, artistic excellence, leadership, citizenship, service and contribution to school and community. The U.S. Presidential Scholars were honored for their accomplishments in Washington D.C., from June 24-26.

  • Ivy Tech releases spring dean’s list

    EVANSVILLE – Ivy Tech Community College Southwest has recognized several Perry County students for making the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester. To be on the dean’s list, Ivy Tech students must achieve a minimum 3.50 grade point average in specific courses with no D’s or F’s, must have earned six or more credits during the semester and at least 12 degree eligible credits during their course of study. 

  • Michaela Kunkler earns U of E dean’s list

    EVANSVILLE – Michaela Kunkler, a 2017 graduate of Mater Dei High School in Evansville has achieved a place on the University of Evansville Dean's List for her academic achievements and her 4.0 GPA during the spring semester 2018. To make the dean's list, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

    LEOPOLD – Perry Central Junior-Senior High School has announced its 2017-18 honor roll for the final grading period for grades 9-12.

     

    Grade 12
