  • Old National reports record quarter income

    EVANSVILLE – Old National Bancorp reported net income of $48 million for the first quarter of 2018 and adjusted net income of $51.2 million. The Evansville-based banking company’s net income showed an increase of 33.3 percent from the first quarter of 2017. Earnings per share were 31 cents, an increase of 14.8 percent from the same period last year.

  • Open house Friday for new Ohio River Derby cabins

    DERBY – The Perry County Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting, open house and tours of the recently updated Ohio River Cabins this Friday, April 27. The open house will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the ribbon cutting scheduled to take place at the Rock Ridge Lodge at 11:30 a.m.

    The open house and tours will begin at Rock Ridge Lodge, located at 13445 N. State Road 66, Derby. Also at the lodge, there will be more information about the other six Ohio River Cabins. Tours will be available for the On the Rocks Cabin and the Rock Ridge Lodge.

  • Coleman promoted by Superior Ag

    HUNTINGBURG – Superior Ag is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryan Coleman, as safety and compliance manager.

    Coleman began his career with Superior Ag’s SynEnergy Division in 2014, where he managed the propane department.

    Coleman has over 10 years of management experience. He has managed county safety programs through Pike County Highway Department, Emergency Management Services, health department and public safety, including school safety programs at Pike Central High School as the Director of Support Services.

  • Port names new logistics manager, trainmaster

    TELL CITY – The Tell City River Port and Hoosier Southern Rail has announced the hiring of Jared Kleemann as general manager of operations.

    He takes over office logistics for Kevin Teague who recently left the rail yard for other career opportunities. Teague also served as trainmaster.

    The position of Hoosier Southern trainmaster has been accepted by long-time employee Dave Sabelhaus Jr.

  • Abbey Caskets opens new production facility

    ST. MEINRAD – Abbey Caskets has opened a new production facility on the campus of Saint Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad.

    The new workshop, which builds wooden caskets and cremation urns, is open for public tours.

    Abbey Caskets was established in 1999 to sell wooden caskets and cremation urns directly to the public. The simple caskets include a design based on the casket used to bury the Benedictine monks.

    Last fall, a building previously used by Abbey Press was emptied, cleaned and painted.
