  • ROCKPORT – Rockport First Baptist Church in Rockport will show a new film from Billy Graham entitled “Heaven.”

    The showing will be at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Everyone is invited to attend.

  • NEW BOSTON – The annual Christmas bazaar at St. John’s Lutheran Church, half a mile west of New Boston, will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST Saturday, Dec. 6.

    Homemade candy, apple dumplings, cheese balls, turnip kraut and turnip slaw will be available, as well as baked goods, including springerles.

    There will also be crafts, quilts, blankets and numerous other items. Special soup will be sold by the gallon; take your own containers. Soup, sandwiches and pie will be served throughout the day. Everyone is welcome.

  • DALE – Dale Presbyterian Church’s Micah Center will host a community event featuring the indoor labyrinth at 6 p.m. CST Sunday, Dec. 21, the “Longest Night.” Amid the excitement and noise of the holiday season, many need a respite of quiet. Others who have lost loved ones this past year may need a place of compassion and mercy. The Rev. Laurie Hearn, certified labyrinth facilitator, will lead participants through a time of reflection and walking the labyrinth. Everyone in the community is invited.

  • TELL CITY – The Women’s Guild of Tell City Evangelical United Christian Church will hold their annual Christmas salad luncheon Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Church Fellowship Hall at 10th and Jefferson streets from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

    In addition to more than 40 different salads, chicken casserole, hot rolls, a variety of homemade Christmas cookies and drinks will be served.

    Cost will be $8 per person at the door. Carry-outs will also be available.

  • TELL CITY – Tell City First United Methodist church offers Celebrate Recovery Ministry every Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. in the social hall at the church.

    Based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery offers a Biblically based, Christ-centered program.

    It is for anyone wrestling with alcohol, drugs, depression, overeating or other issues. Everyone is invited, welcome to attend and encouraged to take a friend.

  • Kyla Michelle Zellers and Benjamin Edward Rigby were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Oct. 4, 2014, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    The bride is the daughter of Michael and Kim Zellers of Tell City.

    The groom is the son of Edward and Lynn Rigby of Waller, Texas.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father in a double-ring ceremony officiated by the Rev. Dennis Duvelius.

  • Stacey L. Hosler and Jonathan K. Talbott were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Oct. 25, 2014, at Tell City Moose Lodge 1424.

    The bride is the daughter of Tom and Trish Kleiser of Tell City.

    The groom is the son of Barb Cooper and Rick Talbott, both of Tell City.

    The bride was given in marriage by her son, Brandon Hosler, in the double-ring ceremony officiated by Linda Simpson.

    Attending the bride was Crystal McManaway of Tell City, sister of the bride.

  • TELL CITY – Tell City Seventh-day Adventist Church will offer a culinary experience in vegetarianism from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the church. The event is free and open to the public. The church is at 434 13th Street in Tell City.
