  • Cannelton set for Draggin’ Main April 14

    CANNELTON – Spring is in the air, the weather’s heating up, and so are the engines. In a seasonal rite of automotive heritage, Draggin’ Main will hit the streets April 14 in Cannelton.

    JASPER – The award-winning vocal group, Six Appeal, will be on stage at the Jasper Arts Center Sunday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m.

    Cannelton H.S. celebrity waiter dinner Saturday

     

    CANNELTON – Cannelton High School will host its second annual celebrity waiter dinner on Saturday, April 7, at 6 p.m. in the Cannelton Community Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

    There will be a silent auction and tip jars for favorite waiters. Proceeds will support Cannelton High School. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 10 and younger and free for those under age 3.

    PCMH Auxiliary geraniums sales continue

     

    TELL CITY–The Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be selling geraniums again this year. Sales are on-going and will continue through April 20. Contact any auxiliary member or Donna Harpenau at (812) 719-1949 to make a purchase.

    Colors available are red, pink, salmon and white. The cost is $3.50 each. The pick up days at VIP will be May 1 and May 2. The group will have workers at VIP to help distribute the flowers.

     

  • Winzerwald to help celebrate Uplands Wine Trail anniversary

    BRISTOW – Winzerwald Winery in Bristow along with the other eight wineries that comprise the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail will take part in celebrating the group’s 15 years as a Grape Growers’ Cooperative and Indiana’s first Wine Trail. To kick-off the 2018 Anniversary year, the Uplands Wine Trail is planning a weekend-long celebration and launch of a new VIP Passport program. The 15th anniversary kick-off weekend is planned for April 21 and 22 and includes anniversary cake, pastries or special cheese with each paid or complimentary wine tasting. 

  • Lip sync battle April 13

    TELL CITY – The Tell City Renaissance Class is hosting their 11th Annual lip sync battle on Friday, April 13. The show will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. The event will be held in the auditorium at Tell City Jr.-Sr. High School. Please use the 12th Street entrance when attending the event.

  • Richland to host Culpepper and Merriweather Circus

    RICHLAND – Thanks to the sponsorship of Evansville and Rockport Lions Clubs, Culpepper and Merriweather Circus is coming to Richland City Saturday, April 21. Two performances are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Richland City Park.

  • German Ridge winter hike canceled for March 31

    PERRY COUNTY – Saturday’s planned winter hike at German Ridge has been canceled.
    Future hikes on the schedule include one on April 7, which will be a beginner/family hike at 8:30 a.m. on the German Ridge Lake Loop. It will be 1.9 miles in length. Those taking part should meet at the highway garage at Indiana 37 and Indiana 70.
    Another hike on April 21 will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will follow the Tipsaw Trail, which is 5 miles in length. Meet at the Tipsaw Lake entrance.

     

  • Daughters of Isabella open house April 3

    TELL CITY – The Daughters of Isabella nativity circle 710 are inviting Catholic ladies age 16 plus to attend their April 3 open house meeting. This meeting is in St. Paul’s parish hall at 7 p.m. if interested feel free to stop in, get acquainted, meet some of our members and learn about some of our programs.

    The group’s state project is St. Elizabeth/Coleman Center in Indianapolis, but is also supports areas projects including council of agencies, scholarships, after proms, church projects, etc. our meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.

  • Quilt guild sponsoring trunk show April 2

    TELL CITY – The Lincoln Trail Quilt Guild will host a trunk show by Carol Hauenstein Henke on Monday, April 2, at 9:30 a.m. at the Fifth Third Bank meeting room in Tell City.

    A Tell City native, Carol will be showing some smaller samples of her work including beading, embellishing, thread painting, dimensional wool, wool applique and trapunto. She may include some Hauenstein quilts from the family home.

    The public is invited. There is no admission fee.
