  • Pick Perry Day at the Pour Haus Aug. 3

    TELL CITY – Pick Perry will be doing things a little bit differently for the upcoming Pick Perry Day, Friday, Aug. 3. For the upcoming Pick Perry Day, the Tell City Pour Haus will be launching a new menu, new weekend brunch, renaming their brewery from Tell City Brewery to Pour Haus Brewery, as well as launching their new website. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony as well, as Pick Perry Day events will continue at the Pour Haus all day.

  • Troubadours of Divine Bliss to head clean-air benefit concert

    FULDA – Share a fun evening at Monkey Hollow Winery with the internationally touring folk duo Troubadours of Divine Bliss – while supporting a great cause  on Friday, July 27, from 6:30 – 8 p.m., .

    Regional leaders in promoting health and wellness, the Troubadours are “the embodiment of a new generation of folk artists who have taken the genre to the next level – with a 21st century creative edge . . Music that would melt a stone statue,” according to a BBC Radio Liverpool review.

  • Quilt displays Aug.10-11 at EUCC

    TELL CITY – The annual Lincoln Trail Quilt Guild quilt show will be held Aug. 10-11 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ. On that Friday, quilts can be viewed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a small admission fee to the show that helps fund some of the guild’s community projects. There will be a sales table with bargain fabric and handmade smaller items for sale.

  • Arts and Crafts Marketplace coming to Schweizer Fest

    TELL CITY – Calling all local and regional artisans for the new Schweizer Fest Arts and Crafts Marketplace. In collaboration with the Schweizer Fest Committee, the Tell City Regional Arts Association, a new tradition is starting at this year’s Schweizer Fest, the Arts & Crafts Marketplace.

  • Sign ups open for Schweizer Fest Talent Show

    TELL CITY – Registration forms for this summer’s Schweizer Fest Talent Show are now available at the Chamber of Commerce office at 601 Main St., in the lobby at German American Bank in downtown Tell City, at Conner Floor Covering at 12th and Tell streets, or by calling Sharilyn Franzman at (812) 719-3017. The rules and registration form can also be found at www.tellcityschweizerfest.com.

  • Cannelton Library offering

    CANNELTON – This July, the Cannelton branch of the Perry County Library is running a program, Don’t Get B.O.R.E.D.

    Starting this week, attendees will be offered the chance to build a craft, or relax while watching a movie, eat a snack and may drop in anytime on Tuesdays and Thursdays during event times from 1 to 5 p.m. Movies start at 1:30 p.m. in the library meeting room and will include a snack.

  • Beekeepers plan Q&A session

    PERRY COUNTY – Do you have questions about keeping bees? The July meeting of the Perry County Beekeepers organization will be a question-and-answer session. If you have questions, write them down and take them to the meeting.  Members of the group will try to answer them.

    The group will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, at the FFA Building at Perry Central Schools near Leopold.

    The meeting is free and open to the public.  Anyone who has an interest in beekeeping is invited to attend.

  • Memorial butterfly release on July 27

    TELL CITY – Oakwood Health Campus and Asera Care Hospice are collaborating to invite the community to join in a butterfly release memorial event to be held Thursday, July 27, at Oakwood Health Campus at 3 p.m.

    The release is to remember and honor lost loved ones. The event will consist of spiritual readings and song, and end with a butterfly release in the courtyard. Refreshments will be provided.
