    TCHS Class of ‘64 reunion Aug. 10

     

    TELL CITY – The Tell City High School class of 1964 will be having its 55th class reunion on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Tell City Depot at 6 p.m. The class will furnish the meal.

    Coin club meeting today

    TELL CITY – River Cities Coin Club meeting will be held in the community room at Fifth-Third Bank in Tell City on Saturday, June 20. Doors open at 6 p.m. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring a friend. For more information, call (812) 547-3974. Public is Welcome.

  • 4-H summer programs set for June and July

    PERRY COUNTY – 4-H programs for June are underway.

    The next program will be June 19, “How does your garden grow,” for grades 3-8; followed by woodworking to be held on June 24 for grades 3-8; a nature, fishing & fun day will be held June 25 for grades 3-12; and Cangola farm day will be held June 26 for grades 3-8.

    Programs for July are planned as follows.

    TELL CITY – The Perry County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for Bliss Artisan, 600 Humboldt St. in Tell City, on Monday, June 17, from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

    LEOPOLD – The Ohio valley tractor club will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday, June 18, at Perry Central School at 7 p.m. in the Ag building.

  • Dragging Main Summer Bash June 22

    TELL CITY – The popular Dragging Main series has added an additional event this year when the Summer Bash Tractor Cruise-in and Retro Cruise get underway Saturday, June 22.

    Events get underway at 9 a.m. with the Tractor Cruise-In at City Hall Park. Area vintage and working tractors will be on display. Anyone is invited to show at the Cruise-In.

    Participants are asked to park in the grassy lots on Seventh St. and use Mozart Street to cross Main St. to City Hall.

    Elder Advantage seminar at Oakwood today

     

    TELL CITY – Oakwood Health Campus will host an educational seminar Thursday, June 13, at 2 p.m. with Elder Advantage available to answer questions regarding veterans’ benefits, Medicaid representation and asset preservation to help ease the financial burden.     Multiple sclerosis group meets Tuesday

     

    PERRY COUNTY – A multiple sclerosis support group will have its next meeting on Tuesday, June 11. The group meets every second Tuesday of every month at 11 a.m. at Twilight Towers, 1648 10th St., Tell City, in the cafeteria. Individuals, family and friends of MS victims are welcome to the discussion.

  • ‘Here I Grew Up’ set for Lincoln Amphitheatre stage

    LINCOLN CITY – “Here I Grew Up,” a world premiere musical, will come to life June 28 and 29 and July 11-13 at the Lincoln Amphitheatre in Lincoln City. Doors for each performance will open at 6 p.m. with a 7 p.m. start. With one 15-minute intermission, the end time will be approximately 9:15 p.m.

    First UMC yard and bake sale Friday, Saturday

     

    TELL CITY – First United Methodist Church in Tell City, located on 10th and Mozart streets, with hold a yard and bake sale on Friday, May 31, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, June 1, from 7 to 11 a.m. The public is welcome.

     

    Horseshoes league signups due Saturday

     

    LEOPOLD – The Leopold horseshoe league will have its first day of tossing Thursday, June 13, at Leopold Park.
