• Walter and Mildred Graves

    Walter and Mildred (Marchal) Graves of Tell City will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday (today).

    They were married July 10, 1949, at Evangelical United Church of Christ.

    Walter and Mildred are the parents of a son, Michael Joe (Mary) Graves of Louisville, Ky., and have two grandchildren, Paul Graves of Los Angeles, Calif., and Laura Veldman of Louisville.

  • James and Betty Roos

    Mr. and Mrs. James Roos, who reside in Christmas Lake Village, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.

    The couple was married July 8, 1949, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale.

    They are the parents of five children: Michael Roos of Cincinnati, Ohio; Patricia Swiz of Evansville; Eric Roos of Santa Claus; Scott Roos of Salinas, Calif. and Tina Root of Cape Coral, Fla.

    They have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Mr. and Mrs. Roos will celebrate with family Saturday, July 12, at Hoosier Heights Country Club in Tell City.

  • Louie and Mary Montgomery

    Louie and Mary Montgomery of Tell City will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12.

    The open house, hosted by the couple’s family, will be held at the Community Building at 16th and Franklin streets in Tell City.

    Mr. Montgomery married the former Mary Frances Spencer July 13, 1974, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tell City.

    Allen and Kris Seamon of Santa Claus will celebrate their golden anniversary during an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Christmas Lake Village Recreation Center in Santa Claus.

    Mr. Seamon and the former Kristine Masterson were united in marriage July 11, 1964, at Troy First Christian Church in Troy.

    They have two daughters and four grandchildren.

    Mr. Allen is retired from Alcoa and Mrs. Allen is retired from the Tell City-Troy Township School Corp.

    John and Judy Raaf of Grandview will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 5, 2014.

    A Mass of thanksgiving will begin at 5 p.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, followed by an open house at 6:30 p.m. at the Grandview Civic Center.

    All family and friends are invited. No gifts are requested, only the presence of guests.

    John and the former Judy Haller were married July 4, 1964, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    They are the parents of Julie (Kevin) Rayburn of Grandview and Joe (Erika) Raaf of Santa Claus.

    Jim and Susie York of Tell City will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with a renewal of their wedding vows June 7, 2014.

    Mr. York married the former Susie Stephens June 6, 1964, at First United Methodist Church in Tell City.

    The couple has two children, Stacey (York) Wedding and her husband, Steve, of Hawesville and Steven York and his wife, Christine, of Kernersville, N.C.

    George and Polly Baker of Rising Sun will celebrate their 70th anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Aberdeen Methodist Church in Bennington.

    The event will be hosted by their children, Ron Baker of Bennington, Reta Carter of Cannelton, Glenda Breeden of Spencer and Danny Baker of Carmel.

    Mr. Baker and the former Polly Smither were united in marriage May 25, 1944, in Rising Sun. The couple hasfour children, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Fella married the former Pat Kleeman April 11, 1964, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    The couple have four children, Cary Fella and his wife, Rhonda, of Evanston, Brad Fella and his wife, Connie, of Santa Claus, Sheri Fella of Bloomington and Ali Weaver and her husband, Watson, of Santa Claus.
    They also have eight grandchildren, Geoff, Chelsea, Kyla, Jacob, Madison and Gavin Fella and Zack and Paige Weaver.
