  • Charles & Wanda Edwards

    Charles and Wanda Edwards of Tell City will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, 2018.

    Mr. Edwards and Wanda Lampkin were married Sept. 4, 1948, in Hawesville, Ky.

    Mr. Edwards is retired from Edwards Logging and Mrs. Edwards retired from Buehlers.

    The Edwards are the parents of Jeff Edwards (Carolyn) and the late Lisa Edwards; the grandparents of three grandchildren, who are, the late Charles (CJ) Edwards, Ashley Hall (David) and Nick Edwards (Bailey); and have two great-granddaughters, Kylee and Madison Hall.

  • Daisy & Cletus James

    Daisy and Cletus James of Tell City celebrated their 65-year wedding anniversary on Aug. 4, 2018, at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Denny Howe.

    Mr. James and former Daisy Harper were married Aug. 8, 1953, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Derby.

    The couple has eight children, Mary Beertzer of Cannelton, Roger James of Cannelton, Donnie James of Tell City, Kathy Clayton of Tell City, Lana Howe of Leopold, Sheila Leisman of Ferdinand, Kevin James of Cannelton and Doyle James of Hawesville, Ky.

  • Mark and Mary Jo Beckman

    Mark and Mary Jo (Flannagan) Beckman will celebrate their 40th Wedding anniversary on Aug. 25. They were married Aug. 25, 1978, at St Meinrad Catholic Church in St Meinrad.

    They have two daughters, Debra (Tim) Hertel and Lacy (Brad) Deom. They have four grandchildren, Blaine and Evan Hertel and Kenzy and Janna Deom.

    Mary Jo is a CPA at Buechlein and Associates. Mark works for Superior Ag.

  • Paul and Ruth Strobel

    Paul and Ruth Strobel of rural Tell City recently observed their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Strobel and the former Ruth Kleaving were married on April 20, 1968, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    Family and friends celebrated the couple’s golden anniversary on April 21 at the Patio Steakhouse. 

    Their daughters are Sue Sanders and Janet McFarland, both of Tell City. They have one grandchild, Natalie Sanders.

  • Richard & Betty Fulkerson

    CANNELTON – Richard and Betty Fulkerson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 3, 2018. They were married on Aug. 3, 1968.

    They are the parents of Rick (Jamie) Fulkerson and Shawn (Sherri) Fulkerson all of Cannelton. They are the grandparents of Hannah and Lauren.

    The former Betty Van Coney is retired from Best Chairs and Richard is retired from the Perry County Sherrif’s Department as a jailer.

  • Jim and Earla Williams

    Jim and Earla Williams of Tobinsport renewed their wedding vows for their 40th anniversary on June 24, 2018, at the Tobinsport United Methodist Church. Pastor Paul Alvey performed the ceremony. The couple celebrated by going on a cruise to Alaska.

    Jim and the former Earla Thorn were married June 24, 1978, at the Tobinsport United Methodist Church.

    The couple has two children, Logan (Katie) Williams of Tobinsport; and the late John “Big John” Williams. Their grandchildren are Dixie and Thorn.

  • Dan and Betty Goffinet

    Mr. and Mrs. Dan Goffinet are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

    Dan and Betty (Kelly) Goffinet were married at St Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold on July 27, 1968, by Father Raymond Moll. Members of the wedding party were Becky (Kelly) Berg, maid of honor; David Genet, best man, Jim Kelly and Debby (Goffinet) Smith.

  • Paul and Marcella Harpenau

    Paul and Marcella (Sally) Harpenau will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018.

    Paul Harpenau and Marcella (Sally) Rahman were married Aug. 10, 1968, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand, with Rev. Firmus Dick officiating. Their attendants were Margie (Rahman) Hoffman, Carol (Rahman) Lueken, the late Elaine Harpenau, Marvin Ubelhor, Alan Rahman, and the late Danny Peter.

  • Sherry and Gary Sparks

    Sherry and Gary Sparks of Quincy, Ill., will be celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Triple Oaks Club, 3707 Bonansinga Drive, Quincy. All family and friends are invited to attend.

    Sherry is the daughter of Revilla and the late Robert Hinton of Tell City. Gary is the son of the late Kenneth and  Phyllis Sparks of Quincy. The Sparks are the parents of one daughter, Lisa Marie Sparks, and her special friend, Charles Dean Strieker.

  • Norman and Sandra Borho

    Norman and Sandra Borho of Tell City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2018. They were married at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tell City on June 15, 1968.

    The couple will enjoy a blessing of their marriage at St. Paul’s at Saturday evening’s Mass followed by an invitation dinner hosted by their children at the Knights of Columbus, where they celebrated their wedding reception.

    Norman and Sandra are the parents of Cathy Rupple (Brad), Theresa Blanchard, Rob Borho (Teri), Shawn Borho (Bethany) and Nathan Borho (Eva).
