  • Hubert and Judy Ramsey

    Hubert and Judy Ramsey of Troy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 9, with an afternoon dinner hosted by their children.

    The couple was married June 6, 1959, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City.

    Hubert is a retired boilermaker, farmer and an accomplished woodworker. Judy owned a operated the Cornucopia Gift Shop in Cannelton for many years and is a avid painter.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Roy Myers

    Roy and Sharon Schulthise are celebrating 60 years of marriage. Theywere married on June 21, 1959, at Trinity U.C.C. Church at Kratzburg near Fulda.They currently reside in New Boston.

    Sharon is retired from the North Spencer Schools.. Roy is retired from the Tell City Glass Service.

    Family and friends are invited to mark the event at an open house on Saturday, June 22, at the Troy Community Center from 1 to 5 p.m. The celebration is hosted by sons Jeff and Brett, and grandchildren Ryan, Olivia and Joseph.

  • Roll-Zellers

    Annette and Jeff Genet of Columbus, Norman Hall of Rome, and Patsy and Frank “Poodie” Zellers of Tell City, announce the engagement of their children, Amanda Roll and Keith Zellers, both of Tell City. The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. June 22, 2019, at Blue Heron Winery with reception to follow at the Schergens Center. Formal invitations have been sent.

    Amanda is a 1998 graduate of Columbus North High School and a 2001 graduate of Indiana Business College. She is general manager of Holiday Inn Express and Suites.

  • Kevin & Pamela Brinksneader

    Kevin and Pamela Brinksneader celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Jan. 6, 2019. Mr. Brinksneader and the former Pamela Ballman were married on Jan. 6, 1979, at St. Paul Church in Tell City.

    The Brinksneaders are parents of three children,Travis, Stephanie and Ben; they have 10 grandchildren.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Begle

    Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Begle of Huntingburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Dec. 22. A dinner for invited guests will be held at 11 a.m., EST, followed by an open house from 1 to 3 p.m., EST, at Venue 1408 in Huntingburg. A Mass will follow at 5 p.m., EST, at St. Mary’s Church in Huntingburg.

  • Ovalee and Dorothy LaGrange

    Ovalee August and Dorothy Ann LaGrange celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving. Mr. LaGrange and the former Dorothy Boerste were married on Nov. 25, 1948, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Tell City.

    The LaGranges are the parents of eight children, David, Mary, Debbie, Sheila, Joan, John, Tim and Stan; they have 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

  • Robert & Connie Taylor

    Robert Darryl and Connie Taylor celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Gatlinburg, Tenn., with a family vacation hosted by their children. The couple was married in Gatchel on Oct. 4, 1958.

    Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have five children, Wilma (Tommy) Kellems of Cannelton, Gwen (Kevin) Hall of Derby, Dale (Billie Sue) Taylor of Derby, Bob (Cindy) Taylor of Tell City and Keith (Amanda) Taylor of Lamar.

    The couple is also the grandparents of 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

  • Marvin & Betty Seifert

    Marvin and Betty Seifert of Rome will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 28, 2018.

    Mr. Seifert and Betty York were married on Sept. 28, 1963, in Rome.

    The Seiferts are the parents of David Seifert (Susie) and Paul Seifert (Anna) and the grandparents of Ashley, Becky and Kayla Seifert and Sam Snyder.

  • Charles & Wanda Edwards

    Charles and Wanda Edwards of Tell City will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, 2018.

    Mr. Edwards and Wanda Lampkin were married Sept. 4, 1948, in Hawesville, Ky.

    Mr. Edwards is retired from Edwards Logging and Mrs. Edwards retired from Buehlers.

    The Edwards are the parents of Jeff Edwards (Carolyn) and the late Lisa Edwards; the grandparents of three grandchildren, who are, the late Charles (CJ) Edwards, Ashley Hall (David) and Nick Edwards (Bailey); and have two great-granddaughters, Kylee and Madison Hall.

  • Daisy & Cletus James

    Daisy and Cletus James of Tell City celebrated their 65-year wedding anniversary on Aug. 4, 2018, at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Denny Howe.

    Mr. James and former Daisy Harper were married Aug. 8, 1953, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Derby.

    The couple has eight children, Mary Beertzer of Cannelton, Roger James of Cannelton, Donnie James of Tell City, Kathy Clayton of Tell City, Lana Howe of Leopold, Sheila Leisman of Ferdinand, Kevin James of Cannelton and Doyle James of Hawesville, Ky.
