War of 1812 genealogy workshop

TELL CITY – A free genealogy workshop presented by the Daughters of 1812 – Jonathan Jennings Chapter and the Tell City-Perry County Public library will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the library in Tell City.

Members of the Jonathan Jennings Chapter will assist anyone who wants to find an ancestor of the War of 1812 or honor those ancestors by adding them to the archives of the soldiers of the War of 1812.

Known Perry County 1812 soldiers are James Ashbury, Homer Z. Hull, John B. Alvey, Henry Rhodes, Samuel Connor, John Courcier, William Askins, Henry Miller, Joseph Tobin, William Weatherholt and others.

The public is invited to attend this event.
