Theis 13th in state

INDIANAPOLIS—Jillian Theis placed 13th to lead Perry Central to 14th among 27 teams in the middle school girls small school cross country meet Saturday.
Theis ran the 3-kilometer course in 11:57. She received an all-state medal for placing in the top 25.
Other Perry Central scorers were Verna Schwartz, 41st in 12:30; Hannah Hubert, 85th in 13:09; Elizabeth Dauby, 178th in 14:26; and Veronica Schwartz, 179th in 14:27.
Olivia Gogel, 204th in 14:51, also finished for the Commodores.
Vincennes Clark won with 107 points. Perry Central scored 381.
