Kaycie Marie Sabelhaus and Ian Robert Thompson were married July 8, 2017,  in a double-ring ceremony at Historic Locust Grove in Louisville, Ky. A reception followed at the venue.

The bride is the daughter of Carol Sabelhaus and Lloyd and Jenny Sabelhaus, all of Tell City. She was given in marriage by her father

The groom is the son of Bob and Cathy Thompson of Crestwood, Ky. Bob officiated the ceremony

Maids of honor were Chelsea Sabelhaus, sister-in-law of the bide, of Columbus and Amanda Litherland, friend of the bride, of Tell City. Bridesmaids were Laura Hagedorn, cousin of the bride, of Columbus; Amanda VanWinkle, cousin of the bride, of Wadesville; Amanda Albin, sister of the bride, of Nashville, Tenn.; and Erin Emerson, friend of the bride, of Tell City. Bridesman was Derek Cail, friend of the bride, of Nashville, Tenn.

Flower girls were Isabella Thompson and Vivian Sabelhaus, daughters of the couple.

Best man was Scott Haines, friend of the groom, of Louisville. Groomsmen were Bryan Brockie, Geoff Speicher, Scott Richardson, Seth Lorence and Derek Rockhill, all friends of the groom from Louisville, and Dane Sabelhaus, brother of the bride, of Lanesville.

Kaycie is a 2005 graduate of Tell City High School and graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in social work and Spalding University in 2015 with a master’s in social work. She is employed as an elementary school mental health therapist with the Jefferson County School System.

Ian is a 1999 graduate from South Oldham High School in Crestwood and graduated from the University of Louisville in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is employed as a marketing consultant at Humana.

The couple honeymooned at Folly Beach, S.C., and will reside in Louisville.
