PC frosh Brumfield on All-PLAC softball team

LEOPOLD—Perry Central freshman Kristi Brumfield was named to the All-PLAC girls softball team in voting by conference coaches Thursday.

Brumfield was the only Commodore named to the 15-girl team. Perry Central finished sixth in the seven-team conference with a 2-4 record.

Brumfield hit .467 in conference games, fifth best in the conference, with a .556 on-base average (7 for 15 hitting plus three walks).

She also did most of the Commodores’ pitching in the conference, going 2-3 with a 4.99 earned run average and 21 strikeouts in 25 innings.
