LEOPOLD—Maddie Fella scored 17 points and Heritage Hills survived cold free-throw shooting at the end to edge Perry Central 58-57 in girls basketball Thursday.
“Heritage Hills was zoning us and we were penetrating so well, but we just had too many shots rim out.” said Perry Central Coach Ty Guillaume.
Perry Central did go on an 11-0 run late in the third quarter to take a 51-48 lead.
Fella, a 6-foot-2 center, scored two inside baskets in the fourth quarter to help the Patriots regain the lead.
