Mitchell outruns PC girls

LEOPOLD—Perry Central won four of the five field events but only one running event in a 72-50 girls track loss to Mitchell Thursday.
Claire Davis won both throwing events, tossing the shot 33 feet, 6 inches and the discus 96 feet, 3 inches.
The Commodores took all three places in the discus, as Alyssa Verkamp was second at 89-11 and Alyssa Hill third at 89-5.
Hill also took third in the shot at 29-10.
Elizabeth Dauby won the pole vault by clearing 6 feet and teammate Maddie Gray was second at 5 feet, 6 inches.
