May 22, 1945

 

• More than 20 teenagers sauced up on beer and wine packed the county jail like sardines Saturday night. They were raising hell in a local tavern and annoyed patrons notified police.

• Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lautner of near Troy received a telegram from the War Department last week, advising them that their son, Sgt. Roland Lautner, was wounded in action in Italy April 25. He received a leg wound after being in combat only four days.
