LETTER: Food drives make big difference for pantries

The Perry County Food Pantry Coalition would like to thank all of the individuals and organizations who conducted food drives recently.  The food and monetary donations are greatly appreciated and will help to feed hungry families in Perry County.  

Thanks to the following who participated: First Baptist Women, First Baptist Church, Tell City (monetary donation); Branchville Correctional Facility; Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills; Chicago’s Pizza; Best Chairs-Best Home Furnishings; Tell City Junior-Senior High School class project and Southern Indian Power.

A total of 1,961 pounds of food was donated.

The Food Pantry Coalition members are: Widows Barrel, Tell City; Perry County Council of Agencies, Tell City; Martin’s Cloak, Sibera; Adventist Community Services, Tell City and Jasper’s Food Pantry, Cannelton.
