Four forfeits hurt Tell City wrestlers

NEW ALBANY—Tell City won six of 10 matches actually wrestled but had to forfeit four weight classes and lost to New Albany 44-30 Tuesday.

“We actually beat them head to head, but it’s tough when you have to give up 24 points,” said Tell City Coach Joe Litherland.

Tell City won four consecutive matches by pins. Dillon Hedinger (160-pound weight class), Matt Leistner (171), Dustin Gould (189) and Dylan Froehlich (215) earned them.

Leistner scored his pin fastest, in 43 seconds.
