Help keep old, unneeded medicines out of kids, water supplies

PERRY COUNTY – Saturday will bring the next in what has become a regular series of drug take-back events.

Intended to allow people to turn in outdated or no-longer-needed medications, Saturday’s no-questions-asked event is scheduled for 8 a.m. until noon, at the Tell City fire station and the family-practice clinic along Indiana 37 at Leopold, said Ken Smith, executive director for the Perry County Recycling Management District. It is intended to prevent them from falling into children’s hands or being washed into public water sources.
