Deom wants to donate land to parks board

-A A +A

Owner hopeful parcel might serve passing cyclists

By LARRY GOFFINET, Sports Editor

CANNELTON – Michelle Allen Deom told the Perry County Parks and Recreation Board Wednesday that she wants to donate approximately a half acre of land to the parks department.

The land, between Lafayette Springs and Rocky Point on Indiana 66, could possibly be used “for a bicycle stop-off place,” said Parks Board President Dan Peter.
That seemed to be the most popular idea that the board kicked around, and it met with Deom’s approval.
