Lip synch battle Saturday


TELL CITY – The Tell City Renaissance Leadership class will host the 12th annual lip sync competition on Saturday, April 6. The event will be held in the auditorium beginning at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:15. The public is invited to the event at $3 per student and $5 per adult.


PCMH geranium sales continue


TELL CITY – The Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is selling geraniums provided by VIP Foliage. Geraniums are $3.50 and are available in red, pink, salmon and white. Orders will be taken until April 19 with pick up dates of April 30 and May 1. Contact auxiliary president Donna Harpenau at (812) 547-2774 or any auxiliary member to place an order.


Town of Troy seeks firefighters


TROY – The Troy Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications for firefighters. Those interested should have a clean driving record and be willing to obtain state fire certifications. For more information, send an email to troyinfire@yahoo.com with name and contact information.


MS support group meets Tuesday


PERRY COUNTY – A multiple sclerosis support group will have its next meeting on Tuesday, April 9. The group meets every second Tuesday of every month at 11 a.m. at Twilight Towers, 1648 10th St., Tell City, in the cafeteria. Individuals, family and friends of MS victims are welcome to the discussion.

Legion dine and dance April 13


ST. MEINRAD – St. Meinrad American Legion Post 366 will host a Dine & Dance on Saturday, April 13. The admission price of $15 includes a meal, drinks and the dance.

The meal will be served at 5 p.m. Music will be provided by The Sweetwater Band.

Leadership Perry County graduation and dinner set


PERRY COUNTY – Leadership Perry County’s graduation and annual dinner will be held on Thursday, April 18, at Hoosier Heights Country Club. Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and program at 6 p.m.

Past graduates of Leadership Perry County are invited to attend. Cost of meal is $15.

Smoked Boston butt sale planned; pre-order by April 15


TELL CITY – The Perry County Marines Detachment 1398 will offer smoked Boston butt roasts on Saturday, April 20, between 3 and 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 213 in Tell City. Cost is $35 for a fully cooked portion. The unit will be accepting pre-orders only, and orders must be made by April 15.

Rome car and truck show April 28


ROME – The Rome Community Center will host the second annual car and truck show on Sunday, April 28, at the Rome Courthouse. Registration is from 9 to 11 a.m. Trophies will be awarded at noon. Registration cost is $10.
