Demolition begins on first set of vacant, foreclosed properties

TELL CITY - As a nearly $2 million Neighborhood Stabilization Program moves forward, Tell City Mayor Barbara Ewing announced the awarding of bids to demolish seven foreclosed or vacant homes purchased this year by the city.

Casebolt Construction submitted low bids for demolishing four of the homes, $3,540 for a structure at 723 Seventh St., $3,380 for a house at 1302 Main St., $4,480 for a home at 919 12th St., and $3,540 for a house at 817 Lafayette St.
