Little Pigeon to host gospel sing Sept. 18
LAMAR – The Little Pigeon Baptist Church, off Indiana 245 on W. CR 1200N near Lamar, will hold a gospel sing at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18.
Crossties Bluegrass Gospel will be the special guests for the evening. Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Holy Cross to host flea market Sept. 18
ST. CROIX – The Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Croix will host its annual Hugh flea market from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 18.
The market will include antiques, collectibles, books, clothing, household items, baby furniture, crafts and more. Produce, baked goods and homemade jellies will also be sold and the annual James Hugh raffle will be held.

Gospel Tabernacle announces new Sunday worship times
CANNELTON – Cannelton Gospel Tab-ernacle Church will have new Sunday morning worship and Sunday school times beginning Sunday.
Service and Sunday school will begin at 10:30 a.m. All other service times will re-main the same.

St. Pius to hold annual fest Sept. 12
TROY – St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy will have its annual Fall Festival Sunday, Sept. 12. On the menu is their “famous” soup, by the bowl and gallon, fried-chicken or roast-beef dinners, hamburgers, polish sausage and homemade pie.
Entertainment will include the band Crosswind, a giant yard sale and flea market, games for adults and children and a raffle. Serving will begin at 11 a.m. Those wishing to are asked to take soup containers.

Deer Creek to broadcast Beth Moore Sept. 18
TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church will host the Beth Moore live simulcast Sept. 18.
Beth Moore is an inspirational woman with a passion to minister to women of all ages. She will share her own life experiences and show “how a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important gift we can have.” Travis Cottrell, acclaimed worship leader, and his praise team, will also join Moore for the event.
Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast served before the event, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will also be provided followed by the afternoon session, which will conclude at 4 p.m.

The church is located six miles north of Tell City on Indiana 37, directly across from the Perry County airport.
All women in the area are invited to make plans to attend and enjoy a day of fellowship.

St. Paul offers classes to become Catholic
TELL CITY – Classes for those seeking the Catholic faith are being planned and scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays starting in October and ending in April. The classes will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church’s ministry center. One-on-one inquiry sessions with Sister Mary Emma can be scheduled at the convenience of each person. Invitations are also extended to anyone who has drifted away or who has been hurt by the church.
