Men’s annual Lenten breakfasts end Saturday
PERRY COUNTY — The Men’s Lenten Breakfast Fellowship Group of Perry County will end its 43rd annual Lenten breakfast series Saturday at Tell City United Methodist Church. The breakfast will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. Donations are $3.
For more information call Bill Simpson at 547-8906 or Randy Lautner at 547-8982. This is a Christian men’s project. These annual breakfasts started in 1976 and are for all men and boys. Members of all dominations and churches are welcome.

Easter social at Church of Latter Day Saints
TELL CITY – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will hold an Easter social at 5 p.m. Saturday at the church, 1415 24th St., Tell City.
An Easter-egg hunt for children and a potluck supper will be a part of the activities. All are invited to attend.

Freewill Baptist announces Easter plans
CANNELTON – Cannelton Freewill Baptist, Second Street in Cannelton, has set its plans for Easter services.
An open communion and feet washing will be held at 7 p.m. today and a 40th annual Easter weekend gospel sing starts at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Sunday services will begin at 6 a.m. with a sunrise service. Sunday school and Bible study starts at 8 a.m. and morning worship will be at 11 a.m.
Following the Sunday morning worship, a carry in basket lunch will be held. The church will furnish the meats and an egg-hunt is planned to start after the meal. Evening Sunday worship will start at 7 p.m.
Pastor Lewis Garrett and the congregation welcome everyone to attend.

United Pentecostal bake sale Friday
TELL CITY – The United Pentecostal Church will hold its annual bake sale starting at 8 a.m. Friday at Wal-Mart in Tell City.
The church congregation will sell cakes, pies, fudge, cupcakes and many other baked goods. Hard-boiled eggs will also be available.

Joint Easter sunrise service set
GATCHEL – The annual joint sunrise service between Lilly Dale Church of Christ, Troy First Christian Church and Tell City Church of Christ will be held at 6 a.m. Easter Sunday at the Lilly Dale Church of Christ in Gatchel.
Refreshments will follow at 6:30 a.m. The public is invited to praise and fellowship.
Tell City Church of Christ will provide signing and Troy First Christian Church will provide the message. Host church Lilly Dale Church of Christ will provide the refreshments.

St. John’s Easter schedule
EVANSTON – St. John’s Lutheran Church in Evanston will hold Maundy Thursday worship at 6:30 p.m. today. The Youth League will also have a supper starting at 5:30 p.m. Good Friday worship will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Easter day services will kick off with a Sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday. A breakfast and egg-hunt will follow. Easter festival service starts at 9:30 a.m.
Everyone is invited to attend. The church is located at 12308 East County Road 1160 North, a half-mile west of New Boston.

Gospel Tabernacle to celebrate anniversary, Easter
CANNELTON – The Gospel Tabernacle Church in Cannelton will celebrate its 45th anniversary Easter Sunday.
The celebration will begin with a special Last Supper service at 10 a.m. and a special anniversary service at 1 p.m. There will be no 6 a.m. sunrise service in lieu of the anniversary services.
All are welcome and invited to attend.

ST. MEINRAD – The Holy Week and Easter schedule for Saint Meinrad Archabbey has been set. The public is invited to join the Benedictine monks for these services in the Archabbey Church. All times are Central time.
• Holy Thursday, April 5, 5 p.m. Mass of the Lord’s Supper; no vespers
• Good Friday, April 6, 3 p.m. Liturgy of the Passion and Death of the Lord
• Holy Saturday, April 7, 5 p.m., vespers
8 p.m., Vigil of Easter Begins with the blessing of the fire; the Eucharist will conclude around 11 p.m.
• Easter Sunday, April 8, 8:30 a.m., Lauds, 11:30 a.m. Midday Office; 5 p.m. vespers
• Easter Monday, April 9, 9:30 a.m. Mass; 5 p.m. vespers
• Easter Tuesday, April 10, 7:30 a.m., Mass; 5 p.m. vespers
The Saint Meinrad Archabbey Gift Shop will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Holy Saturday hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Archabbey Library hours will be 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday of Holy Week. The library will be closed Good Friday through Easter Sunday. All times are Central time.

Little Pigeon Baptist breakfast
LAMAR – Little Pigeon Baptist Church, located two-tenths of a mile east of Highway 231 on 1250 N., will host a breakfast at 8 a.m. Sunday. Sunday worship will be at 9 a.m.

Gospel Tabernacle bake sale Friday
TELL CITY – The Gospel Tabernacle Church of Cannelton will host bake sale Friday at Nobel’s IGA in Tell City. The sale will begin at 8 a.m.

Revival services at Cloverport Wesleyan Church
CLOVERPORT, Ky. – The congregation of the Wesleyan Church at Cloverport invite the community and area to join them for revival services today through Easter Sunday. The Rev. Don Garrett from Clifty, Ky., will provide special music and inspired messages from God’s Word.
Garrett attended Circleville Bible College at Circleville, Ohio, and Trevecca Nazarene University at Nashville, Tenn., and was ordained as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene in 1995.
He has served as pastor for churches at Glasgow, Ky., Somerset, Ky., and Madisonville, Ky., and is now a registered evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene.
Services will begin at 6 p.m. today through Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. The Wesleyan Church is located on Old U.S. 60 in Cloverport at the corner of Main and Maple streets just east of the Clover Creek Bridge.

Deer Creek Easter services, activities
TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church in Tell City has several upcoming events, including Easter worship services. Easter Sunday services will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a sunrise service at First Baptist Church in Cannelton. Sunday school will start at 9:30 a.m. at Deer Creek and morning worship is at 10:30 a.m. An egg-hunt will follow the service.
The Ladies of Deer Creek Baptist invite the public to their next Talk – Pray – Walk event, which is set for 6 p.m. April 13 at Sunset Park in Tell City. The church also plans to host a spring praise and worship concert at 10:30 a.m. May 6. All are welcome to attend for worship and music.
