Trinity UCC to host ice-cream social
FULDA – Trinity United Church of Christ will hold an ice-cream social from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, one mile south of Fulda on Indiana 545.
Sloppy joes, chips and desserts will also be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.

LWML to sell dinners Sunday
TELL CITY – The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League will sell pork-chop dinners Sunday at the corner of 12th and Tell streets in Tell City. Serving will begin at 11 a.m.
Dinners will include pork-chops, green beans and creek fries. Homemade pies will also be available for sale.
Proceeds will go toward purchasing medical and school supplies to take on a mission trip to Guatemala.

Central Baptist to host Sunday singing
HAWESVILLE, Ky. – Central Baptist Church, 25 State Road 271 North, Hawesville, will host a fifth Sunday singing event at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Everyone is invited to the special service of singing, praise and worship.
A special offering will be taken for the Helping Hands Ministry. The Rev. Brian Adkins and congregation invite the public to the service.

Deer Creek to broadcast Beth Moore Sept. 18
TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church will host the Beth Moore live simulcast Sept. 18.
Beth Moore is an inspirational woman with a passion to minister to women of all ages. She will share her own life experiences and show how a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important gift we can have. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast served prior to the event. Lunch will also be provided.
The event will run until 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 and should be purchased in advance by calling 836-2187, 836-4186 or 547-5561.
The congregation invites all women to join them for a day of fellowship.

St. Pius to hold annual fest set for Sept. 12
TROY – St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy will have its annual Fall Festival Sunday, Sept. 12. On the menu is their “famous” soup, by the bowl and gallon, fried-chicken or roast-beef dinners, hamburgers, Polish sausage and homemade pie.
Entertainment will include the band Crosswind, a giant yard sale and flea market, games for adults and children and a raffle. Serving will begin at 11 a.m. Those wishing to are asked to take containers for carryout soup.

Gospel Tabernacle announces new Sunday worship
CANNELTON – Cannelton Gospel Tabernacle Church will have new Sunday morning worship and Sunday school times beginning Sept. 4. Service and Sunday school will begin at 10:30 a.m. All other service times will remain the same.

St. Paul offers classes to become Catholic
TELL CITY – Classes for those seeking the Catholic faith are being planned and scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays starting in October and ending in April.
The classes will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church’s ministry center. One-on-one inquiry sessions with Sister Mary Emma can be scheduled at the convenience of each person. Invitations are also extended to anyone who has drifted away or who has been hurt by the church.
