HAWESVILLE – Hancock County Kentucky will have a special guest at a Saturday full of Coon Club activities.

Neal James, a star of Animal Planet’s “Call of the Wildman” will attend the fair and be available to sign photos and meet fans.

The day’s festivities will begin at 10 a.m., when a meet and greet with James will begin, and last until noon.

The day’s activities are free for all ages, which Cecil said his grandchildren would be happy about. “Seems like everytime my grandkids spend the night, all they want to watch is Turtleman,” organizer Tim Cecil said.

James will not only be mingling and signing pictures for fans in the morning, but according to the itinerary, he has plans at the fairgrounds all day.

“He’ll just be out there all day for people to come visit with him,” said Jack McCaslin, Hancock County Judge.

James will later assist with presenting awards at the United Kennel Club bench show at 6 p.m. “He’ll help hand out trophies and stuff like that,” said Cecil.

James will also sit in with The Tywappity Boys, and is slated to play banjo.

A camera crew from Ringtail Addiction, a media company dedicated to raccoon hunting, will be present for the day’s activities and plans to shoot footage of the coon hunt Saturday night, according to McCaslin.
