Alpine second at Evanston

EVANSTON—A balanced hitting attack led Alpine to second place in the Evanston Hog Roast coed softball tourney Saturday.

Four players hit between .680 and .720 for Alpine, led by Jeff Kessans at .720 (18 for 25).

Wes Deom hit .708 and led the team in home runs with five and RBIs with 16. Matt Glenn led the team in runs scored with 13.

Theresa Lain led Alpine’s women in hitting with a .368 average (7 for 19).
