LEOPOLD—Perry Central made 17 steals and held Tell City to 25.0 percent field-goal shooting to beat the Marksmen 50-23 in girls basketball Monday.
The Commodores jumped to an 11-2 lead in the first 5 1/2 minutes as Brittany Parker scored five points and had a nice assist to Megan Thomas for a layup.
They increased their lead to 21-8 with a minute left in the first half. Emma Kohnert was the only Tell City player with a field goal at that point, and she was held scoreless the rest of the game.
