Peter wins twice in girls track sectional

LEOPOLD—Cathryn Peter won two events to lead Perry Central to fourth place in its 10-team girls track sectional Tuesday.
Jasper won with 142.5 points, 46.5 ahead of runner-up Forest Park.
Perry Central scored 87 and Tell City was seventh with 40. Cannelton, with just one girl competing, finished 10th with two points.
Peter won the 3200-meter run in 12:05.51 and teamed with Megan Thomas, Grace James and Marie Schwartz to win the 3200 relay in 10:09.91.
