INDIANAPOLIS—Perry Central drew a tourney favorite and the long route but Tell City and Cannelton received easier draws in the IHSAA’s volleyball sectional pairings Monday.
LEOPOLD—Perry Central was unable to get any ace serves against Evansville Memorial’s strong defense and lost to the Tigers 25-11, 25-12, 25-14 in volleyball Monday.
TELL CITY—McKenzie Hayes made 32 kills, five blocks and 18 digs as Tell City beat South Spencer 25-20, 25-5, 22-25, 25-13 in PAC volleyball Monday.
LINCOLN CITY—Forest Park controlled the ball the majority of the time and beat Tell City 4-0 in the boys soccer sectional semifinals Saturday.
INDIANAPOLIS—Tell City and Perry Central will face rematches in their first-round sectional football games, with Tell City’s being a really recent rematch.
JASPER—Perry Central placed six boys in the top 15 to win its fifth consecutive boys cross country sectional Tuesday.
PAOLI—All seven Perry Central runners placed in the top 11 as the Commodores won the PLAC junior high girls cross country meet Thursday.
