LEOPOLD—Perry Central’s boys basketball team has been small but quick in recent years but will take those to extremes this year.
OAKLAND CITY—Wood Memorial scored 12 points directly off turnovers in the third quarter to pull away to an 86-48 boys basketball victory over Cannelton Wednesday.
LEOPOLD—Poor free-throw shooting caught up with Perry Central late as it lost to Crawford County 28-26 in the championship game of its own eighth grade girls basketball tourney Saturday.
DUBOIS—Perry Central’s perimeter shooting cooled after a hot start and the Commodores lost to Northeast Dubois 33-23 in freshman basketball Monday.
TELL CITY—Pike Central held Tell City without a field goal in the third quarter as it overtook the Marksmen for a 47-33 PAC girls basketball victory Saturday.
TELL CITY—With more quickness than usual, Tell City’s boys basketball team hopes to be strong on defense this season.
CANNELTON—Perry Central forced 29 turnovers, including 11 steals by Lavina Schwartz, to beat Cannelton 49-36 in girls basketball Monday.
