TELL CITY—Tell City won the top two singles matches and No. 2 doubles to beat South Spencer 3-2 in PAC boys tennis Wednesday.
Anjan Kashyab shut out Spencer Howell 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles to raise his record to 9-0.
Zach Fisher beat Davis Jeffries 6-1, 6-4 in No. 2 singles.
Austin Paulin and Jeff Yeung defeated Zane Taylor and Bryce Buse 6-3, 7-5 in No.2 doubles.
South Spencer won the other two matches in straight sets.
TELL CITY—No one shot under 63 for Tell City in a 237-272 girls golf loss to Boonville Tuesday.
Amber Fentress shot a 25-over-par 63 to lead Tell City and Jessica Ballman shot 64.
Jenny Hess shot 71 and Courtney Blinzinger 74 to complete the Marksmen’s scoring.
Tell City, 2-6, will play Southridge and Pike Central at Huntingburg today at 4:30.
LINCOLN CITY—Anjan Kashyab remained undefeated but Heritage Hills beat Tell City 4-1 in PAC boys tennis Tuesday.
Kashyab shut out Zach Blake 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles to raise his record to 8-0.
Heritage Hills won the other singles matches in straight sets.
Dugan Kippenbrock beat Zach Fisher 6-2, 6-4 in No. 2, and Willie McElhaney defeated Jacob Miller 6-4, 6-2 in No. 3.
The Patriots’ Seth Hancock and Derek Kippenbrock beat Tyler Groves and Dakota Braunecker 6-0, 6-1 in No. 1 doubles.
Perry Central football coach Mike Spencer earned his 200th career football victory Friday. All but 17 of those wins have come with Perry County schools, making him the winningest coach in the county’s history.
HAWESVILLE, Ky.—Cannelton had a stronger bump-set-spike attack than usual as it beat Hancock County 22-25, 25-16, 25-16 in volleyball Tuesday.
“We were actually setting the ball up and utilizing our three hits,” said Cannelton Coach Felicia Myers.
Sammie James made 27 good sets and Taylor Lawalin added 25.
Allicyn Garrett made 10 spikes, including three kills. She and Sarah Powers each made four blocks.
Mikah Hemmings served 10 consecutive points for the Bulldogs in the second game.
MONTGOMERY—Hannah Harpenau made seven kills and served three aces as Perry Central beat Linton-Stockton 25-14, 25-18 for seventh place in Barr-Reeve’s volleyball tourney Saturday.
Sydney Goffinet added five kills and Ashley Gengelbach four. Gengelbach made three blocks.
Goffinet also served three aces and made five digs. Brittany Parker made nine digs and Grace James had 13 assists.
