HAWESVILLE, Ky.—Strong ball-handling helped Tell City overcome poor free-throw shooting to defeat Hancock County 40-39 in boys basketball Saturday.
“We only had five turnovers and they did press us,” noted Tell City Coach Troy Noble.
He also noted that Tell City’s defense “was real consistent all night after they scored on three of their first four possessions. It was probably our best defensive game.”
Hancock County built a 13-6 lead, the largest by either team, early in the second quarter.
