    TELL CITY—A triple play helped the Odds beat the Evens in the annual Schweizer Fest old-timers baseball game Tuesday.

  • Schweizer Fest road races may...

    TELL CITY—Registrations are still being accepted for all Schweizer Fest sports events, and the road races could set a record for participation.
    The six-mile and two-mile road runs will start 8 a.m. Saturday from City Hall Park. Two years ago a record 466 runners entered the two races combined.
    The races had more pre-registrations last year than in 2009, but extreme heat on race day kept some runners away.

    TELL CITY—Tell City graduate Shaun Larsen helped the University of Southern Indiana win a national baseball title as an assistant coach in 2010. Now another Tell City graduate would like to do that as a player for the Eagles.

  • Fifth- , sixth-graders to get...

    TELL CITY - For those playing fifth- or sixth-grade football, football equipment will be handed out Aug. 5 and 6 at Legion Field.

    Sixth-graders will be given equipment at 6 p.m. Aug. 5. Fifth-graders will receive their equipment at 10 a.m. Aug. 6.

    A meeting between parents and coaches will convene at 11 a.m. Aug. 6 at Legion Field.
