The stories of Tell Citians’ service in the second world war aren’t all about men. Women served crucial, albeit, less-publicized roles, too. Genevieve (Switzer) Schaefer was one of them. She enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps in March 1942 and crossed the Atlantic on a British ship that carried 7,000 soldiers, doctors and nurses.
