SHREVEPORT, La. – Former Cannnelton City Schools Superintendent Marion “Al” Chapman is behind bars. The News learned Monday afternoon that Chapman, who faces criminal and civil cases, was taken into custody in Louisiana, where he was believed to have been living.
After a six-month investigation initiated by Indiana State Police, Perry County Prosecutor Rod Acchiardo announced in January that criminal charges were filed against Chapman. He faces two counts of theft, both Class C felonies, and two counts of official misconduct, Class D felonies.
