PERRY COUNTY – Incumbent Democrat Zac DeSpain and Republican David Lynch, have filed for the office of county surveyor.
As of last Friday’s filing deadline, they were the only two candidates to file for that office. They will face each other in November’s general election.
The deadline to file for May’s primary was noon, Feb. 5.
The filings mark a rehash of the race DeSpain and Lynch pitted against each other 4 years ago when they both sought the office. DeSpain narrowly won the 2012 election.
