Let me bring clarity to the vacation issue referenced by Mack Cail in his letter in the September 15th issue of the Perry County News.
All school employees have written documents that specifically list wages and benefits.
After reviewing all files, including multiple-year contracts, I found nothing which provides for the vacation days in question. If vacation days are not included in an employment contract, the school corporation should not spend your tax dollars to pay for them. This issue has nothing to do with “liking or disliking” anyone.
