TELL CITY – Tell City police said a woman charged with dealing in morphine allowed her juvenile son to sell the drug to high-school students and others before tips to police led to a search of their home June 3.

Christina Mohr, 39, of 648 14th St., Tell City, was jailed on preliminary charges of conspiracy to deal in a controlled substance, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, neglect of a dependent and maintaining a common nuisance. The conspiracy charge is a Class B felony.

LINCOLN CITY—When Heritage Hills senior Kaebra LaGrange signed last month to play volleyball and basketball for Oakland City University, she was continuing a family tradition in more ways than one.
Her parents, John and Tammy (formerly Nixon) LaGrange, each played a sport for Oakland City—John basketball and Tammy volleyball.
Kaebra will also be the seventh grandchild of Ovalee and Dorothy LaGrange to play college sports. And several others had opportunities to do so in this athletic family.

TELL CITY – Logan Harding should be excused if he feels like he has the world at his feet. He just graduated high school – as one of his class’ valedictorians, nonetheless – and is set to study mechanical engineering at Purdue University. He also just won a brand-new 600-hp convertible.

Harding, 18, and a Perry Central grad, won a 2012 limited edition Camaro Panther in a drawing sponsored by Beck’s Hybrids, a national seed company based in Indiana.

LEOPOLD – After months of fundraising and building community awareness, Perry County’s Relay for Life teams will take to the track at Perry Central High School Saturday for the annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
