TELL CITY – No one wants to call 911, but when the need arises, there’s a trained dispatcher ready to help.
April 8-14 is National Public Safety Telecommunications Week and locally, several activities helped honor the event and the work of dispatchers throughout the year.
Observed the second full week of April every year, the event gives the community a time to honor the efforts of the men and women who pick up the phone when emergencies, big and small, strike.
