GINGER is a young female American English coonhound about a year old. She’s a very sweet girl who loves going for long walks. Ginger was brought to the shelter as a stray and was extremely thin at that time. She is now gaining some much-needed weight. Ginger does well with children and other dogs. To meet Ginger or another dog or cat awaiting a new home, call the Perry County Animal Shelter at (812) 547-6381, send email to perrycountyanimalshelter@gmail.com or stop by the shelter at 200 Herzeele Street in Cannelton. Hours are Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shelter is closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. An adoption application is required.
