BRUTUS is a 7-year-old male neutered boxer-lab mix who lived as an outside dog in the country. He was kept in a kennel, but let out to walk with his owner on the property, along with another dog he came into the shelter with. Brutus is a quiet dog here and loves to go for walks. He was released to the shelter due to a change in family dynamics and is now in need of a new home. To meet Brutus or another dog or cat awaiting a new home, call the Perry County Animal Shelter at (812) 547-6381, send email to perrycountyanimalshelter@gmail.com or stop by the shelter at 200 Herzeele Street in Cannelton. Hours are Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shelter is closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. An adoption application is required.
