DOZER, a male mixed breed, came in as a stray from Troy. He knows the commands ‘sit’ and ‘shake,’ and is kennel trained. He gets along with the dogs he has interacted with in his time at the shelter. However, he is getting depressed at Perry County Animal Shelter and really needs to find a forever home. To meet Dozer or another dog or cat awaiting a new home, call the Perry County Animal Shelter at (812) 547-6381, send email to perrycountyanimalshelter@gmail.com or stop by the shelter at 200 Herzeele Street in Cannelton. Hours are Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shelter is closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. An adoption application is required. Applications are available at the shelter, Orscheln’s or by emailing perrycountyanimalshelter@gmail.com.
