PERRY COUNTY — Rachel Roark, Clerk of Perry County Circuit Court, announced on Mar. 28 that there will a test randomly conducted on several of the voting machines used in Perry County Elections. MicroVote General Corporation in Indianapolis has been providing election equipment and support for elections in Perry County since the first county voting machines were purchased in 2004.

Their system is currently being used nationwide, and they are noted as the longest continually operating voting systems provider in the country. Their equipment is engineered to provide reliable election equipment that is intended to assure the integrity of elections. In 2009 they were the first company in the history of the United States to achieve federal certification for a voting system.
