SPENCER COUNTY — A case before the State Supreme Court this week will determine how candidates might file for their chosen political party in elections.

The case first appeared in Marion County Superior Court, where it was accepted by Marion County Superior Court Judge Patrick J. Dietrick. The case questioned the conditions for the “two party primary voting history” rule. Dietrick determined the rule to be unconstitutional and granted the plaintiff permission to take the case to State Supreme Court.
